　　The latest figures from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism showed that traveler numbers as well as tourism-related revenue during the Spring Festival holiday reached record highs, thanks to people's ever-stronger desire to travel, ample market supplies and good tourism policies.

　　文化和旅游部的最新数据显示，得益于人们日益强烈的出游意愿、充足的市场供应和良好的旅游政策，春节假日期间的旅游人数和旅游相关收入均创历史新高。

　　The ministry said on Sunday that the domestic tourism market saw 474 million trips during the holiday, up 34.3 percent year-on-year. The number marked a 19 percent increase compared with the same holiday period in 2019.

　　文化和旅游部18日表示，春节假期8天全国国内旅游出游4.74亿人次，同比增长34.3%，按可比口径较2019年同期增长19%。

　　Domestic tourism-related revenue reached 632.69 billion yuan ($87.95 billion) during the holiday, a striking increase of 47.3 percent year-on-year and 7.7 percent growth from the same holiday period in 2019.

　　春节假期期间，国内游客出游总花费6326.9亿元，同比增长47.3%，按可比口径较2019年同期增长7.7%。

　　In addition to the prosperous domestic tourism, the inbound and outbound tourism market also delivered a surprisingly good performance during the holiday. The Culture and Tourism Ministry said that around 3.6 million overseas trips were made during the holiday, while the Chinese mainland received about 3.23 million visits from overseas travelers.

　　除了繁荣的国内旅游，假日期间出入境旅游市场也表现出色。文化和旅游部称，假日期间出境游约360万人次，入境游约323万人次。

　　A total of 13.52 million inbound and outbound trips were made during the holiday, marking a nearly threefold increase from the holiday period last year, according to the National Immigration Administration.

　　Spring Festival ended on an uplifting note for the movie market this year as it shattered multiple previous records to become the highest-grossing Chinese New Year holiday in the history of domestic cinema.

　　Statistics from the China Film Administration, the nation's top industry regulator, showed that during the holiday period from Feb 10 to Saturday, the country grossed a whopping 8.02 billion yuan ($1.12 billion) from 163 million tickets, surging 18.47 percent and 26.36 percent, respectively, compared with the same period last year.

　　China's domestically developed single-aisle passenger jet C919 netted 40 new orders from Tibet Airlines at the opening day of the Singapore Airshow on Tuesday, while its debut at an overseas air show signals the model's official entry into the global civil aircraft market, said an industry expert.

　　国产单通道客机C919在新加坡航展开幕当天收获西藏航空的40架新订单，业内专家表示，C919国际航展首秀标志着该机型正式进入全球民用飞机市场。

　　Tibet Airlines, a regional carrier based at Gonggar Airport in Lhasa, Xizang autonomous region, signed a deal with Commercial Aircraft Corp of China for 40 C919 aircraft in the plateau variant. The variant meets transportation requirements in high-altitude areas by shortening the fuselage and featuring high-altitude modifications.

　　Five people were killed after a ship hit a bridge and caused the bridge to fracture on Thursday morning in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province.

　　2月22日凌晨，广东省广州市一艘货船撞上一座桥梁，导致桥梁断裂，造成5人死亡。

　　The victims include the driver of a bus without passengers, a motorbike rider and three people who were in vehicles that fell into the river under the bridge.

　　遇难者包括空载中巴车驾驶员1人，电动摩托车驾驶员1人以及落水小货车车内3人。

　　The accident happened at around 5:30 a.m. when a container ship hit the pier of the Lixinsha Bridge in Nansha District. Five vehicles, including a motorbike, were involved in the accident. Two of the vehicles plunged into the river while the others fell onto the vessel, a preliminary investigation has found.
