　　当地时间10月23日，金砖国家领导人第十六次会晤在喀山举行。这是金砖扩员后的首次领导人会晤。国家主席习近平出席会晤并发表重要讲话，强调金砖国家走到一起，是基于共同追求，顺应世界和平和发展大势，并表示中方愿同金砖各国一道，开创“大金砖合作”高质量发展新局面。中英双语内容整理如下：

　　The 16th BRICS Summit, the first since the group's enlargement from five members to 10, took place in Kazan, Russia, on October 23. Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the summit. "It is for our shared pursuit and for the overarching trend of peace and development that we BRICS countries have come together," he said.
