外国朋友说“I feel you”是什么意思?

  跟外国朋友聊天时,他们常会说“I feel you”,此时,你不会以为他是真真切切的“感觉到你”了吧?

  feel是“感觉”没错,但“I feel you”就是“我感觉你”吗?

  实际上,I feel you. = I understand you.

 

  在日常对话中,这句话经常用来表示明白对方想要表达的感觉,也就是“我懂你;我理解你的感受;我感同身受”。

 

  例句:

 

  I know how hard it is to lose a loved one. I feel you.

 

  我知道失去亲人有多么痛苦。我理解你。

 

  He was nodding his head as if to say "I feel you."

 

  他点头仿佛在说“我懂你”。

 

  除了“I feel you”外,还有一些比较容易被理解错的表达↓

 

  I ask you ≠ 我问你

 

  I ask you放在句尾用于表示吃惊或愤怒,非常生气地质问对方“这叫什么事啊!”

 

  例句:

 

  They stayed for a month and left without even saying thank you! Well, I ask you!

 

  他们住了一个月却连句谢谢都没说就走了。这叫什么事啊!

 

  I see you ≠ 我看见你

 

  I see you常用语深情的表白,电影《阿凡达》中,纳威人会对爱人、长者说:“I see you”,不仅仅是想表达“我看得见你”,更想诉说的是“我懂你;我能感受到你”,甚至有些时候,I see you 比I love you更能表达心中爱意。

 

  例句:

 

  - Rose: Well, you have a gift, Jack. You see people.

 

  - Rose:嗯,你很有天赋,Jack。你确实有。你能看懂人。

 

  - Jack: I see you.

 

  - Jack:我也看懂了你。

 

  I hear you ≠ 我听见你

 

  美剧中经常会出现这个表达,I hear you其实是“我知道啦,我懂你”的意思。

 

  例句:

 

  - A: You know I just can't take it anymore. I want a divorce.

 

  - A:我真的受不了了,我要离婚。

 

  - B: Hey, I hear you. But calm down, let’s talk it out.

 

  - B:我懂你的意思。但先冷静一下,有事好说。

  1. feel your age

 

  释义:

 

  to realize that you are no longer young

 

  意识到自己老了,感到自己上年纪了

 

  例句:

 

  Everybody there looked under 20 and I really felt my age.

 

  那儿所有人看起来都不满20岁,我确实觉得自己老了。

 

  2. feel free

 

  释义:

 

  If someone tells you to feel free to do something, they mean that you can do it if you want to.

 

  尽管做,可以随便(做…)

 

  例句:

 

  Feel free to help yourself to coffee.

 

  请随意喝咖啡。

 

  3. feel it in your bones

 

  释义:

 

  to believe something strongly although you cannot explain why

 

  直觉确信,本能感到

 

  例句:

 

  It's going to be a good summer-I can feel it in my bones.

 

  今年夏天将会特别舒适--直觉告诉我的。

 

  4. feel the pinch

 

  释义:

 

  to have problems with money because you are earning less than before

 

  (由于收入减少而)手头拮据

 

  例句:

 

  When my father lost his job and we had to live on my mother's earnings, we really started to feel the pinch.

 

  当父亲下岗,我们的生活不得不依靠母亲的工资时,我们开始真正感受到了手头拮据。

 

  5. feel your way

 

  释义1:

 

  to judge where you are going by touching with your hands instead of looking

 

  摸索着走动

 

  例句:

 

  The room was so dark, I had to feel my way along the wall to the door.

 

  房间里太黑了,我只得沿着墙摸索着走到门口。

 

  释义2:

 

  to act slowly and carefully because you are not certain how to do something

 

  谨慎行事

  6. feel sb/sth out

 

  释义:

 

  to try to get information from someone or from a situation without asking direct questions

  释义:

  释义:

 

  to feel that you have been treated unfairly

  释义:

 

  to feel very much better

 

  感觉好很多

 

  例句:

  11. not feel myself

 

  释义:

 

  not to be, seem, or feel as happy or as healthy as usual
